You know those days when you realize that you fit perfectly into your favorite pair of jeans again,
and are feeling kind of good about yourself when you look in the mirror and head out the door?
You do?
Okay, then you must also know that those days are also the days when your daughter inevitably decides to spit-up all over your legs.
And that, my friends, is new mommy-hood in a nutshell.
But hey, at least they weren’t mom jeans.

Crowded pool of beautiful Maui resort.
My bikini top inexplicably pops off.
Completely off
Lands on the ground.
Husband is off retrieving water, so I’m alone, horrified, topless, in public, during the day.
Nowhere to hide.
Manage to get top off ground and on body in oh, about….3 hours. Or so it feels.
Yet, once again inexplicably,
June 2010 rolls around,
And taking off my top in public,
In front of complete strangers,
During the day,
Is not quite so foreign anymore.
Aloha, dignity.
