So, earlier tonight, my mom and I were having a phone conversation.
And, while we were chatting, the baby began a full fledged blab session.
Let me just say, this little girl is a blabbermouth of the first order.
Takes one to know one.
As my mom and I were trying to catch-up (read: do some yenta-ing)
This kid was just a-yakkin’ away.
At a certain point, I had to cut my mom off,
to say, “Mom, wait, I can’t hear you, the baby is blabbing in my ear. Jeez, I can’t get a word in.”
And her response?
“Now you know how I’ve felt for all these years.”
You know what?
I’ll take that as a compliment.

You know those days when you realize that you fit perfectly into your favorite pair of jeans again,
and are feeling kind of good about yourself when you look in the mirror and head out the door?
You do?
Okay, then you must also know that those days are also the days when your daughter inevitably decides to spit-up all over your legs.
And that, my friends, is new mommy-hood in a nutshell.
But hey, at least they weren’t mom jeans.
