]]> When you’re a new parent,
you’re surrounded by all things adorable, delicate, and itty bity.
And you kind of get used to the cute.
But sometimes, it’ll hit you,
and hit you hard.
Like this morning,
I spent a good, long while just staring at a pair of delicious baby hands.
One hand was wrapped around the daddy’s finger.
One hand was wrapped around that of the mommy.
And for a moment, I stopped being used to their sight,
and started feeling an incredible sense of awe.
I think my husband was feeling it, as well,
for he leaned in, kissed her, and explained,
“You know, when you get bigger, I can still kiss you, but you can’t marry me. You have to find a Prince of your own.”
Awe,
again.
Tiny hands,
huge hearts,
greatest love.
