Lest we forget

that this week also marks the two year anniversary of when this little rascal found his way into our lives.
This is when we first caught a glimpse of him,

a little ball of energy and spunk.
He had been abandoned by his previous owners. He was at a dog shelter. He was named Tobey.
And then the rescue organization called me.
And then he found a forever home.
And a sister.
And a new name.
Ziggy Marlowe.
And then this happened.

And then this happened. Yes, the same week.

And then our family of three became a family of five. In one week. This week. Two years ago.
And then this happened.

And I wish I had the technology to transmit all of the images in my head onto the computer;
all of the pictures I can conjure of my baby and my dogs loving up on one another,
kissing, rolling around, and playing, as my daughter shouts “Lola! Ziggy!” with absolute glee.
Because it’s really freakin’ cute.
But, as far as I know, that telepathic technology does not exist.
Not yet.
Oh well.
Give it another two years.
Because in two years
a whole heck of a lot
can happen.
