]]> Watching West Side Story, in it’s entirety, while the house is still silent and before my feet ever hit the floor.
Lying on the floor with the baby, as we stare up at the ceiling, singing “Twinkle Twinkle” to imaginary stars.
Getting to eat a proper breakfast,
at the kitchen table,
as opposed to shoving a half of a Luna bar into my mouth,
at a red light.
Doing a little dance.
And, although a 2 hour school delay no longer means two hours of extra sleep,
it means 2 hours of giggles,
Ziggles,
jammies,
slippers,
cocoa,
and kisses,
and for all of those things, I am grateful.
So, on that note, the only thing I have left to say is
Be safe out there,
and make sure to enjoy every one of those extra 7,200 seconds.
I sure will.
