511 Ever After

As part of my writing here on this site, I have made the decision to let you, my dear readers, into my life and that means, often times, into my home.

You see pictures of us dancing on the living room ottoman, snuggling under my soft, white duvet and writing music in the sunroom.

Decorating my home is another way for me to nurture; when we bought our 100 year old house in our dream neighborhood it was in rough shape. And when I say rough, I mean that it had peach walls, scratched laminate floors and a scary staircase to the third floor with dirty carpet and no railing. Did you catch that? No railing.

While struggling through much of the winter of 2014 I threw myself into the redecoration of our house, and it gave me a sense of purpose and great happiness.

And so, I created 511 Ever After, the journey from house to home.

So, if you have ever looked at one of my photos and wondered why there are 30 pictures hung on a gallery wall behind my kid’s head, look no further.

511 Ever After.

And despite all of the hard work,

I think we have only just begun.
