Cupcakes and Cashmere at Home

I have to say, I am thoroughly enjoying being both a Birchbox #Birchblogger and part of the #BirchboxBookClub.

I love making videos each month and have been having tons of fun with my YouTube Channel.

I keep threatening my songwriting partner that I am going to post some of our raw footage.

Speaking of songwriting, if you follow me over on Instagram @mommyeverafter you will notice that I have been posting a lot about music.

Well, that’s because I am in this total songwriting groove at the moment (this morning I wrote a song while sitting in the waiting room of a doctor’s office) and I am finding inspiration everywhere. Crafting melodies and words has been an incredible creative exercise. And it’s fun. Really, really fun.

And there’s nothing cooler than hearing my 5-year-old singing some of my songs to herself as she draws or dances around the backyard…

Except for maybe when I hear my partner playing guitar, because dude, he is sick.

In any case, last month I got to feature a video of May’s Birchbox, curated by Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere. This month, I was chosen to receive and review an advance copy of her new book entitled Cupcakes and Cashmere at Home and I have to say, it’s pretty awesome. For those of you who have followed me over at 511, you know that I have a passion for home decorating. And readers here know how much I love my “family dinners”, new holiday traditions with friends and special soirees. Cupcakes and Cashmere at Home talks about all of those things and more, and it is is beautifully done.

And now, I present to you, my video review of Cupcakes and Cashmere at home, featuring my daughter, some crystals, and a lot of hand gestures.

I hope that you enjoy.
