It’s my girl’s night and I’ll party plan if I want to

Tonight, while my husband was out,
I enjoyed a perfect girl’s night in with some of my favorite female companions.
(Sorry, Ziggy Puppy, you were outnumbered. I know you tried to get the baby to play catch with you, but it just wasn’t that type of night. Besides, her hands are too small to pick up a tennis ball. Plus, there’s that whole hand-eye coordination thing.
Girls rule, boys drool. Literally.)
The baby, Lola, Ziggyrella (we renamed him for the night. No boys allowed!) and I got to spend a lovely night in with our dear family friend. This is the same woman who was at the helm of the dugout-turned-enchanted-garden renovation project. She is a creative genius, I tell you. And, tonight was no different.
She arrived with the most fabulous little gift bag for the baby.

Inside, she had carefully wrapped up the gifts like a beautiful, perfect bouquet.
She had spent hours in her craft room (as she has done many-a-time for this baby. I’m telling you, we’re not worthy.)
and take a look at what she created:

How many babies can say they are sporting custom made attire?
That’s couture, in the land of baby.
We then lingered at my kitchen table over french fries and oreos and girl talk.

Perfect, I tell you.

We also oohed and ahhed over the baby…
…and her jeggings.
We then poured through the pages of our dear friend’s design/party planning book,
as we started brainstorming ideas for the baby’s 1st birthday bash.
You know,
the one that will occur in approximately 8 months.
Would it be wrong if I admitted that we have already had detailed discussions about party favors?
And balloons?
And outfits?
Yeah, we totally didn’t do that.
All in all, a wonderful night with some wonderful girls.
That’s all for now.
Gotta jet.
I have a 2023 Bat-Mitzvah to plan.
