It’s not every day that a certain mini baby,
who just so happens to be named for a Disney Princess,
has her first Halloween,
which also
just so happens to be during the month of her half birthday.
There my have been an invitation that looked a little something like this:
Hurry! Hurry! Don’t be late,
for a special Princess’s Half Birthday date!
At half past 11 at the grandparents’ house
(before your horse turns back into a mouse)
for a Princess Tea party, costumes required,
so put on your very best royal attire!
No poison apples or wicked queens,
just a chance to celebrate Baby’s first Halloween!
We hope to see you in your costumed glory,
and help us write the chapter of our 6 month Princess Story!
I may have had something to do with it.
I may be donning red hair, a purple bikini and a pair of child’s-sized fins tomorrow.
We may be spending the night at my parents’ house, so that we are there, bright and early, to celebrate the special day.
This may be what my overnight bag looks like
Or, maybe not.
